Maria Cole: Introduction to Drawing and Painting (Wednesdays)

The objective of this class is to acquaint students with academic and contemporary techniques of drawing and painting that will give students the solid background needed to develop their individual style. Class will progress on to the introduction of traditional painting techniques and fundamental principles of design including composition, perspective and color. Classes will begin with a short lecture and demonstration, after which students will explore these techniques working from still life arrangements or their own photographic material.
