Denali BrookeThis class will help you see with a fresh perspective and help you make leaps in accurately rendering the essential elements of any subject. . . . with color!!

When an artist renders something with the correct tools for proper alignment and arrangement of form, the creative experience becomes one of enjoyment and ease.

When one lets go of conceptual ideas or notions about the subject, perceptual understanding takes over and is experienced as a sense of freedom.

Color can be simple in its application!

Beginning with 2 complementary colors, we will work on the transition between monochromatic drawing and finding values that relate in color. We will experiment using primarily pastel but we will also explore the mediums of ink and watercolor.

Denali will teach you how to draw with quick gestural strokes and notations that lead to a better drawing experience of any subject in a short period of time.

Beginning to advanced artists, plein air or studio painters, are welcome. This class is perfect for learning and enhancing your sketches; quick value studies; and journal entries.
