J. Waid Griffin: Practical Drawing for Painters (Mondays)

Drawing is the essential foundation of painting. 

This 8-week course is specifically designed

for painters wanting to revisit and hone their skills in the basic knowledge of the mechanics of drawing. 

Through weekly exercises, students will learn to use the elements of drawing as tools and apply them effectively in their work. 

The methods and concepts in some instances require in-depth technical explanations, but they are not to be missed. We will focus in particular on developing skills related to line, mass, figure-ground relationships, value, proportion and light.
