Creative Illustration for Picture Books with Stacy Innerst (Tuesdays)

Back by popular demand! Don’t miss your chance to with award-winning children’s book illustrator, Stacy Innerst. This class will explore illustration as a visual means to tell a story and to create concept-based imagery. Stacy will be working from his studio in Pittsburgh where he will demonstrate, lecture, look at student's work and offer guidance while you work in the comfort of your own studio. Class will cover the process of brainstorming, working with a concept, exploring the audience you might be trying to reach, creating sketches and finally the finished artwork. Most of all, you will have great freedom to explore different techniques and mediums that will be your’s to work with in the future. Students will primarily be painting with watercolor, gouache and ink but Stacy will include demos of acrylics and other popular illustration techniques and media as well. This workshop is open to students at all levels.
