Tom Blazier: Composing the Landscape

Cynthia Rowland: The Portrait, Selection & Intention
September 29 - November 18
Wednesday Evenings, 5:30pm - 8:30pm



We will revisit the basics of portraiture and offer simplified techniques that will build confidence as well as explore taking your painting from the literal replication of the model, to an expressive work of art using selection and intention, concepts known to great artists, past and present. District Chapter 219 is the local chapter of the Colored Pencil Society (CPSA). which promotes the stature and awareness of colored pencil as a fine art medium. Founded in 2000, we presently have about 25 members, some of whom are new to the medium, and some who are award-winning professionals. Chapter meetings are held on the 4th Saturday of each month, and usually include a program relating to working with the medium.
