Griffin, The Map ReaderJoin Waid in this informal approach to depicting interior space! Artists have found interiors to be an enduring source of inspiration, initially for statements characterizing formal settings, and then, with the use of the camera, for statements of a more personal nature.

The modern artist sees with an “impromptu” eye in order to capture a moment in time with natural light filtering through windows and/or with artificial light emanating from light bulbs. The artist must produce an atmosphere very different from the light and space of a landscape.

Using the rich vocabulary of paint, you will learn to conjure environments saturated with atmosphere, deep surface and yet painted as though they are “off-the-cuff”. The paintings from this class will be produced from “life” or “studio set-ups”.

Please sign up early as class size is limited.
