Jeff Otis: Painting the Landscape in Oils

This workshop will guide each student toward a deeper knowledge of oil painting while creating an atmosphere in which students enjoy the the whole experience. 

The subject will be landscapes, but students are welcome to work on the subject of their choosing.

 The principles of composition, color temperature, shadows, brush strokes, thickness of paint, edges, philosophies of painting and centers of interest will be covered. Students will be at different levels in their development and individual attention will be tailored with this in mind. You will also learn how to avoid having to clean your brushes so often. Expect to have fun. Expect to increase your love of painting. Plan on producing works you will be proud of.
