David Chavez: Painting Land, Sea and Sky in Watercolor/The Roland Hider Method

Join David Chavez as he unravels the mysteries of this great master of English watercolors.

American born, Roland Hilder was raised in England where he was fortunate to have been exposed to the great landscapes by some of the worlds most accomplished watercolor painters.

Basically, Hilder has three rules that he follows to assure a successful watercolor: First, establish credibility by keeping the values in harmony with each other; next, incorporate textures that give your paintings feeling and depth; and finally, maintain the temperature of a color in relation to the three planes in a painting; foreground, middleground and background.

Some experience with watercolor is necessary.
