Understanding the principles of perspective provides the artist with a way to render three dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surface.
This is one of the most dramatic effects an artist can accomplish. Designed to enable the beginner and advance the seasoned artist, this course will address the underlying principles of linear perspective and simplified techniques for obtaining its benefits without the need for cumbersome construction lines or mechanical devices. Course topics will include: isometric perspective, areal and intuitive perspective, Mondrian tool, clock angle tool, Goldilocks’ Rule, foreshortened circles and more. T
his class will occasionally take place on location but is primarily in the studio. Please sign up early; class size is limited.
