Bill Canright, Fall HeatArtists working at all levels are welcome although some experience in drawing would be helpful.

Lots of personal attention and short demos will benefit beginners to experienced artists. Various elements of the landscape will be examined in demos and discussion.

Rocks, cliffs, trees, still water with reflections, moving water and seascapes, clouds and sunsets.... Detailed study of the unique characteristics of each will be invaluable as you continue with landscape painting.
Painting on black: we will explore values by starting with light values on a dark surface. We’ll have timed exercises in loosening up and using a limited palette --valuable for future plein air painting.

Bill’s “secret” tips and tricks will be scattered throughout the 8 weeks as will various underpainting techniques.

Students will be encouraged to develop their own painting styles and above all to have fun!

Bring you own materials, and check the supply list for recommendations. Nothing is mandatory.
